Baseball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 8-3 to the Ridgeland Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-5 on Thursday.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Ridgeland, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Coming up, Columbus will challenge Vardaman at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Ridgeland has already played their next match (against West Jones), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
