Baseball Game Preview: West Point Pointers vs. King William Cavaliers

West Point is 0-10 against King William since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Pointers will head out on the road to square off against the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. West Point has given up an average of 15.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West Point is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 18-1 to Middlesex. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, King William came up short against Mechanicsville last Tuesday and fell 5-1. The Cavaliers haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

King William saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Lee, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

King William now has a losing record of 2-3. As for West Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

West Point suffered a grim 11-2 defeat to King William in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Pointers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
