Flag Football Game Preview: Righetti Warriors vs. Lompoc Braves + Official Tickets

The Righetti Warriors will take on the Lompoc Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Righetti took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They strolled past Pioneer Valley with points to spare, taking the game 25-6. The score was all tied up 6-6 at the break, but the Warriors were the (much) better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Lompoc got themselves on the board against Santa Maria on Wednesday, but Santa Maria never followed suit. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 28-0 victory over the Saints. Considering the Braves have won eight games by more than 19 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lompoc's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Lompoc pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points on average over those games. As for Righetti, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
