York-Adams 2 recap September 24, 2013
New Oxford scaled the state rankings by moving to 207 from 262 this week, the biggest jump in York-Adams 2. The Colonials climbed the ranks as a result of defeating South Western 24-17.
Susquehannock fell to Central York 35-9 last week, the largest margin of any game. Bryan Kerr was a bright spot for the Warriors, as he threw for 46 yards and ran for 30 yards in the defeat.
Northeastern's dynamic duo of Marcus Josey and Jowan Lewis-kearse proved tough for William Penn to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Josey threw for 117 yards and Lewis-kearse had 61 yards receiving. David Ankney helped Northeastern's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 56 yards.
The Bobcats' dynamic duo of Josey and Lewis-kearse proved to be unstoppable against the Bearcats, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Lewis-kearse was the best wideout in the league this week as Northeastern lost to William Penn.
Mike Young was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 231 yards on 25 carries as Kennard-Dale lost to Shawn Heinold's team. Josh Eaton also contributed to the rushing game with 69 yards on the ground.
Diego Simms was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Bobcats fell to the Bearcats. The 5-foot-8 senior.
Young was a force in the backfield as the Rams fell to Spring Grove.
Josey put up the best numbers through the air as Northeastern lost to William Penn.
Young was a passing and rushing force as Kennard-Dale fell to the Rockets. Young's favorite target this week was Dallas Allen, who caught 2 passes for 11 yards.
The Bobcats' Josey and Ankney have formed a dream team this season, leading York-Adams 2 in both passing and receiving yards. Josey has thrown for 563 yards this season, while Ankney, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 9 catches for 172 yards. Andrew Loucks' team's Young leads the league in rushing yards with 628.
