DeKalb had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Manchester Squires as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The Barons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Bryson Gadson's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, DeKalb let Drake Hall and Brady Vince run wild. Hall went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Vince went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Graden Pepple, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

DeKalb always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manchester only posted an OBP of .167.

DeKalb pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Manchester, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.
