Baseball Recap: Lewisburg Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lewisburg put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 12-5 margin over Lake Cormorant. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2019.

Brady Rodgers looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Andrew Hendrichovsky and Caden Nelson did most of the damage at the plate: Hendrichovsky scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Nelson scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Hendrichovsky also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Garrett Latham was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Lewisburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Cormorant only posted a batting average of .222.

Lewisburg's record is now 4-0. As for Lake Cormorant, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Lewisburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Redan on the 27th. As for Lake Cormorant, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-9 win against North Delta on the 27th.
