Basketball Recap: Lefors Takes a Loss

Lefors lost against Shamrock back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lefors Pirates lost to the Shamrock Irish at home by a 54-38 margin.

Shamrock found their leader in sophomore Jeff Rollerson, who went 6-for-14 en route to 19 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. The dominant performance gave Rollerson a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhpy Owens, who went 7-for-17 on his way to 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Lefors has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Shamrock, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-15.

Lefors didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-36 victory against Hedley on the 11th. As for Shamrock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-53 loss against Booker on the 17th.
