Basketball Recap: Jefferson Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bishop Heelan Catholic, Jefferson was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They managed a 44-40 victory over the Denison-Schleswig Monarchs.

Jefferson found their leader in sophomore Junior Gatkuoth, who went 16-for-38 to rack up 28 points and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gatkuoth has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jayden Fujii, who posted six points.

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 3-16. As for Denison-Schleswig, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-16.

Jefferson has already played their next game, a 78-42 loss against Le Mars on the 11th. Denison-Schleswig has also already played their next contest (against AHSTW), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
