Volleyball Recap: Green Takes a Loss

Green was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Eastern Eagles, falling 3-0. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-14, 25-8.

Emma Brown paced Green's offense, picking up four kills. Brown got some help from Peyton Neal and her ten assists.

Eastern was led to victory by Aubrey Quillen and Izabelle Beekman. Quillen had nine digs and six aces, while Beekman had 11 assists and six digs. Those six aces gave Quillen a new career-high.

Green's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Eastern, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Green wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Oak Hill on the 3rd. As for Eastern, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Minford on the 2nd.
