Basketball Recap: Steeleville Warriors vs. Gibault Catholic Hawks
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Johnston City, Steeleville was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Gibault Catholic Hawks 40-37. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 56-49 win the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.
Karmon Grohmann and Kamille Grohmann certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Karmon almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds, while Kamille went 6 for 14 on her way to 12 points in addition to seven boards and five assists.
