Basketball Recap: Charlotte Comes Up Short

Charlotte was the 60-52 winner over Ionia when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Charlotte Orioles took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ionia Bulldogs on Tuesday. The game marked the Orioles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Charlotte dropped their record down to 10-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Ionia, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Coming up, Charlotte will be playing at home against Olivet at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ionia, they will head out to take on Sexton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sexton comes in on four and Ionia on three.
