Volleyball Recap: ALA - Ironwood Takes a Loss

If ALA - Ironwood was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of ALA - Mesa North on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell just short of the Gilbert Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

ALA - Ironwood's offense was headlined by Anastyn Lee and Faith Brady, who picked up four kills apiece. They were helped by Paisley Blair and Ava Schott, who contributed five assists each. Blair was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

ALA - Ironwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Gilbert, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

ALA - Ironwood has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Parker on the 29th. As for Gilbert, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Willow Canyon on the 30th.
