East Chambers is 9-0-1 against Bridge City since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The East Chambers Buccaneers will be taking part in a tournament against the Bridge City Cardinals at 9:25 a.m. East Chambers will be strutting in after a win while Bridge City will be coming in after a defeat.

East Chambers is headed into the match without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. Everything went their way against Silsbee on Friday as East Chambers made off with a 6-2 victory. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Tigers are ranked 475th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite a strong season so far, Bridge City has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Porter. That's two games in a row now that the Cardinals have lost by just one goal.

Bridge City's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2. As for East Chambers, their win bumped their record up to 7-0-1.

East Chambers beat Bridge City by a goal when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Chambers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
