Softball Recap: Laytonville's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Laytonville had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Potter Valley Bearcats 16-2 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-8 back in April.

Laytonville let Ani Rogers and Khloe Neuroth run wild. Rogers went 2-for-3 with one home run, five stolen bases, and three runs, while Neuroth went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles. Those four runs gave Neuroth a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brigid Henry, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs.

Laytonville's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Potter Valley, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
