Baseball Recap: Tempe Prep Comes Up Short

Phoenix Country Day hit Tempe Prep with a ten-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights lost 14-3 to the Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 14-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Tempe Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Drescher, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Tempe Prep and nudges their season record down to 4-10. As for Phoenix Country Day, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Tempe Prep has already played their next match, a 10-0 defeat against Santa Cruz Valley on the 22nd. As for Phoenix Country Day, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-2 loss against San Tan Charter on the 17th.
