Football Game Preview: Delbarton Green Wave vs. Seton Hall Prep Pirates

The Delbarton Green Wave will take on the Seton Hall Prep Pirates at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Delbarton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Jersey's top teams: St. Peter's Prep, who was ranked seventh at the time (Delbarton was ranked tenth). The Green Wave took a blow against the Marauders on Saturday, falling 42-7. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Green Wave couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Delbarton got top-tier performance from Kobe Irby-Mason, who rushed for 144 yards. Irby-Mason was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards.

Meanwhile, Seton Hall Prep managed to keep up with DePaul Catholic until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Pirates lost 38-14 to the Spartans. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Seton Hall Prep now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Delbarton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
