Baseball Recap: Coleman Comes Up Short

After flying high against Thackerville last Monday, Coleman came back down to earth. The Wildcats came up short against the Rock Creek Mustangs on Thursday, falling 7-1. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Coleman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kase Smith, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

With the defeat, Coleman broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-7. As for Rock Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, Coleman and Rock Creek will both be playing Achille the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will head out to face the Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
