Recap: New Prairie Cougars vs. Bremen Lions
The New Prairie Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Bremen 43-38. New Prairie lost against Bremen in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 62-32 score last time.
New Prairie lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brody Wiginton, who scored nine points. Trenton Klute was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
New Prairie has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Bremen, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
New Prairie will take on Culver Community at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Culver Community has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three contests. As for Bremen, they will head out on the road to square off against LaVille at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully LaVille focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Wednesday.
