Basketball Recap: Hanover Central Piles Up the Points Against Hobart

There's no place like home for Hanover Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 60-28 victory over the Hobart Brickies. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wildcats have posted since November 23, 2024.

Sienna Antkiewicz was nothing short of spectacular: she went 7 of 11 on her way to 20 points and six steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in November of 2024. Simone Parker was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Hanover Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hobart only posted four assists.

Hobart lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Taylor Pope, who posted six points. Another player making a difference was Kyla Butler, who earned six points.

Hanover Central is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Hobart, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-16.
