After losing to Benjamin Davis the last time they met, Caney Creek decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers managed a 49-44 victory over the Falcons on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Caney Creek was led to victory by Caitlyn Rhodes and Yeiry Zamudio. Rhodes posted 15 points in addition to seven boards and three steals, while Zamudio put up 21 points and eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Zamudio has scored at least a third of the Panthers' points. Another player making a difference was Hiyah Campbell, who earned four points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Caney Creek's record now sits at 5-3. As for Benjamin Davis, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
