Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Isaiah Sanders and Noah Keaton Lead St. Joseph Central to Victory

There's no place like home for St. Joseph Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 66-60 win over the Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders on Thursday. The score was all tied up 24-24 at the break, but the Irish were the better team in the second half.

St. Joseph Central was led to victory by Noah Keaton and Isaiah Sanders. Keaton went 7 for 16 on his way to 25 points, while Sanders went 8 of 16 en route to 19 points and five rebounds. With that strong performance, Keaton is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Micaiah Ehirim was another key player, going 5 of 11 en route to 11 points.

Greater Beckley Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javonte Spencer, who went 7 for 17 on his way to 17 points along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Gunter, who posted 12 points.

St. Joseph Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Greater Beckley Christian, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

St. Joseph Central will venture away from home to take on Van at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Joseph Central is facing Van at the right time seeing as Van is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Greater Beckley Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 84-52 win against Teays Valley Christian on the 25th.
