Basketball Game Preview: J.F. Webb Warriors vs. Carrboro Jaguars

The J.F. Webb Warriors will square off against the Carrboro Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

J.F. Webb will head into Wednesday's matchup out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They were dealt a 64-12 defeat at the hands of Southern School of Energy and Sustainability. The Warriors have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carrboro). They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat South Granville 69-26. The victory was familiar territory for the Jaguars who have now won three contests in a row.

J.F. Webb better keep an eye on Summer Lee. She was instrumental in Carrboro's win, going 9 of 18 en route to 22 points along with seven boards and seven steals. The game was Lee's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yazmin Paisant, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 14 points and seven boards.

Carrboro was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

J.F. Webb's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Carrboro, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
