Volleyball Recap: Wheatland Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Wheatland managed to slip by Colfax the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pirates lost 3-0 to the Falcons on Thursday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Wheatland was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17, 25-16.

Lisa Azevedo paced Wheatland's offense, picking up six kills. Azevedo got some help from Miranda Wilke and her seven assists.

Wheatland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Colfax, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Wheatland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hamilton on the 20th. As for Colfax, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Bear River on the 23rd.
