Softball Recap: Lake Brantley Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

Lake Brantley won against Foundation Academy on Monday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Patriots came out on top against the Boone Braves by a score of 10-5. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Lauren Compton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Kayla Morris was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Auriana Turner, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Lake Brantley's win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Boone, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.
