Softball Recap: Fruitdale Comes Up Short

Fruitdale lost to Leroy last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates fell 14-10 to the Bears.

Graice Robbins stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Riley Savage was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Fruitdale's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Leroy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Coming up, Fruitdale will take on Washington County at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Leroy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Millry at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
