Baseball Recap: Flagler Palm Coast Find Success

After losing to Timber Creek the last time they met, Flagler Palm Coast decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Timber Creek Wolves 3-2.

Carson Flis was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Marion Clayton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Flagler Palm Coast is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 8.75 hits in those games compared to only 5.25 in the others. The defeat snapped Timber Creek's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-4 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flagler Palm Coast will take on University Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Timber Creek, they will face off against Spruce Creek at 7:00 p.m. on March 28th. Timber Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Spruce Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
