Volleyball Game Preview: Cabool Bulldogs vs. Willow Springs Bears

The Cabool Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Willow Springs Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Willow Springs will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Cabool extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Houston.

Cabool wouldn't go down easily and took Houston into a fifth set where they got it done with a 12-point win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-16, 21-25, 25-12, 15-3.

Meanwhile, Willow Springs hadn't done well against Mountain Grove recently (they were 1-7-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bears won by a set and slipped past the Panthers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted since September 13th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Willow Springs who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 26-24, 20-25, 15-13.

Cabool's victory bumped their record up to 23-7-3. As for Willow Springs, their win bumped their record up to 19-6-3.
