Basketball Recap: Monadnock's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Monadnock was the 38-26 winner over Conant when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Monadnock Huskies took a 50-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Conant Orioles. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Huskies came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Orioles are ranked 41st).

With the defeat, Monadnock broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3. As for Conant, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monadnock will head out to square off against Hopkinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Conant, they are taking a road trip to take on Fall Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Fall Mountain will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Conant surely won't give up without a fight.
