Red Bud dropped their record down to 12-3 on Thursday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Gibault Catholic Hawks by a score of 9-8. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lucas Schwartzkopf was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

As for Gibault Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

On Gibault Catholic's side, Dante Gianino looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.
