The Pemberton Hornets will face off against the Lawrence Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pemberton will be strutting in after a win while Lawrence will be coming in after a loss.

Last Saturday, everything went Pemberton's way against Maple Shade as Pemberton made off with a 41-21 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Shaun Lake went supernova for Pemberton, rushing for 188 yards while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Lake also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making a tackle. Pemberton also got help from Andrew Anderson, who showed off his sure hands for 83 receiving yards.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pemberton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 247 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted was before the start of last season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Pemberton's defense and their four sacks. Thaisaan Alexander was especially locked on to Maple Shade's QB and sacked him twice.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins dating back to last season, Lawrence's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Bordentown by a score of 10-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Scotties: they've now lost three in a row.

Pemberton's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1. As for Lawrence, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
