Softball Game Preview: Hazen Highlanders vs. Bellevue Wolverines

The Hazen Highlanders will take on the Bellevue Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Hazen and 14 for Bellevue dating back to last season.

Hazen came up short against Mount Si on Monday, falling 28-1.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Bellevue's offense. They lost 15-0 to Sammamish on Monday.

Hazen's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bellevue, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Bellevue's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hazen has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .497. It's a different story for Bellevue, though, as they've only averaged .165. Will they be able to contain Hazen's hitters?

Hazen took their victory against Bellevue when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hazen since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
