It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but San Clemente ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Trabuco Hills Mustangs by a score of 9-5. With that victory, the Tritons brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.
Luca Cifuentes spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 23 consecutive appearances.
