Sylmar hadn't done well against Venice recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Sylmar Spartans had just enough and edged out the Venice Gondoliers 2-1. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Gondoliers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Sylmar is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The loss snapped Venice's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-1 record.

Sylmar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against West on the 7th. As for Venice, they will head out on the road to face off against Los Angeles CES at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
