Baseball Game Preview: Samuell Spartans vs. Seagoville Dragons

Samuell is 1-9 against Seagoville since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Samuell Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the Seagoville Dragons at 4:30 p.m. Neither Samuell nor Seagoville posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Samuell came up short against Spruce on Tuesday, falling 14-1. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Samuell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Acasta, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Seagoville fell victim to North Mesquite and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Stallions. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Stallions: they've now lost six in a row.

Seagoville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Samuell, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Samuell suffered a grim 17-2 defeat to Seagoville in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Samuell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
