Softball Recap: Peddie's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Peddie had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Hill School Rams with a sharp 20-6 victory on Saturday. The Falcons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Sam Kent was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Sophia Pei also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Peddie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hill School only posted an OBP of .462.

Peddie's record is now 3-8. As for Hill School, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Coming up, Peddie will challenge Montgomery at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Hill School, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Blair Academy at 4:30 p.m.
