Kyler Krull commands the offense for a Wildcats win

Recap: Whitko Wildcats vs. Lakewood Park Christian Panthers

The Whitko Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 25 points or more this season. They blew past Lakewood Park Christian 45-20. Given Whitko's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while Lakewood Park Christian is ranked 418th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Whitko to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyler Krull, who scored 15 points. The contest was Krull's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Logan Hoffman, who scored ten points along with three steals.

Lakewood Park Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mason Jolloff, who scored seven points.

Whitko's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Lakewood Park Christian, they bumped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitko will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Southwood at 7:45 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Southwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday. As for Lakewood Park Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Wayne Canterbury at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Wayne Canterbury has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 249 points over their last four contests.
