Softball Recap: New London Takes a Loss

New London was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against the West Burlington Falcons, falling 11-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 back in May.

New London's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for West Burlington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Looking ahead, New London will look to defend their home field on Monday against Hillcrest Academy at 7:00 p.m. As for West Burlington, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-3 defeat against Pleasant Valley on the 14th.
