Central York dropped down to 9-5 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Penn Manor Comets by a score of 5-4. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.
Marley Dailey was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Katie DeBell, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
As for Penn Manor, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since April 25, 2025.
