American International Academy can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They secured a 42-38 W over Lutheran. The victory was just what American International Academy needed coming off of a 70-18 defeat in their prior match.
When it comes to explaining why Lutheran lost, one person who can't be blamed is Christian Fontaine. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with two steals and two blocks. That was a full 63.2% of Lutheran's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Nate Rooker, who scored five points along with two steals.
American International Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Lutheran, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.
American International Academy will head out on the road to face off against Rogers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. American International Academy is coming into the contest with four straight wins on the road, so Rogers is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Lutheran, they will be playing at home against Roeper at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lutheran is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.4 points per game this season.
