Softball Recap: Oceanside Collegiate Academy Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fort Dorchester, Oceanside Collegiate Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Westwood Redhawks with a sharp 19-3 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Landsharks' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Westwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cane Bay at 6:00 p.m. on March 11th. As for Westwood, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Ben Lippen at 7:30 p.m. Westwood has given up an average of 12 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
