Softball Recap: Falkner Eagles vs. Ashland Blue Devils
Falkner put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 20-1 margin over the Ashland Blue Devils. The victory was nothing new for Falkner as they're now sitting on four straight.
Taylor Garner and Ella Mauney made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Garner tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Mauney pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Garner scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Mauney went 1-for-1 with a home run, three stolen bases, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Kady Duncan was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Mauney, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.
