Baseball Recap: First Flight Comes Up Short

First Flight extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 13-9 in the process. They came up short against the Currituck County Knights, falling 9-0. Considering the last time the Nighthawks couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

First Flight saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Stewart, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

As for Currituck County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by nine runs or more this season.

On Currituck County's side, Caden Barth was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave Barth a new career-high. Jake McClanan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

As of now, neither First Flight nor Currituck County have any future games scheduled.
