Baseball Recap: Seneca Falls Short of Wilmington in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Seneca can now relate to. They came up short against the Wilmington Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 8-0. The Fighting Irish were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2019.

Seneca has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-23 record this season. As for Wilmington, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-8.

As of now, neither Seneca nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
