Baseball Preview: Whitehouse Wildcats vs. Marshall Mavericks

Whitehouse is 7-2 against Marshall since March of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Whitehouse Wildcats will be playing at home against the Marshall Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Meanwhile, Marshall has not done well against Hallsville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Marshall had just enough and edged Hallsville out 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Marshall.

Marshall got a great performance from Caden Noblit as he struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Dallan Shaw was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Emery, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Whitehouse has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Marshall, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.
