Basketball Recap: Corcoran Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Corcoran won the last time they faced Granite Hills and things went their way on Thursday too. The Corcoran Panthers were the clear victor by a 56-31 margin over the Granite Hills Grizzlies. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Javon Bragg continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 15 boards. His evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jesse Guerrero, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 14 points.

Corcoran pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28 points. As for Granite Hills, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-9.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Corcoran Panthers challenge the Lindsay Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Corcoran is facing Lindsay at the right time seeing as Lindsay is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Granite Hills, they will take on Summit Charter Collegiate Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Granite Hills surely won't give up without a fight.
