The Ware County Gators will square off against the Creekside Seminoles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 934 yards in their previous games.
Ware County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took down Flowery Branch 44-27. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

Ware County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah White led the charge by throwing for 235 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave White a new career-high in passer rating (153.3). Ware County's leading receiver Jamario Rice was White's top target yet again, picking up 139 receiving yards and two scores.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Ware County, adding 12 points to the final score. All came from Jeffrey Gonzalez: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points, and 3-for-3 again kicking extra points for an additional three.
Meanwhile, Creekside was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Dalton 70-7. Fans of the Seminoles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Creekside's win came from a few key players Ware County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Gary Walker, who rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Another passer making a difference was Cayden Benson, who threw for 162 yards and three TDs on only ten passes.
Creekside was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 368 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Creekside's defense and their eight sacks. In that department, Cassius Burch was the leader with two. Daniel 'tank' Holt was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Creekside's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Ware County, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
Everything went Ware County's way against Creekside in their previous matchup back in December of 2020, as Ware County made off with a 49-25 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Seminoles' Nyqua Lett, who rushed for 112 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 205 yards on 21 of 35 attempts. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Gators to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
