Recap: Edison Chargers vs. Western Reserve Roughriders

The Edison Chargers waltzed into their contest Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They breezed by Western Reserve at home to the tune of 49-22. For Edison, this counts as revenge for the 54-39 loss Western Reserve walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Edison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ella Booth led the charge by scoring eight points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Booth grabbed two or more steals. Audrey Linder was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.

Edison pushed their record up to 5-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Western Reserve, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will square off against Willard at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Western Reserve, they will head out on the road to face off against Monroeville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Monroeville has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
