Basketball Recap: Milan Comes Up Short

Milan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a hard 62-47 fall against the Gibson County Pioneers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-27 on January 9th.

Gibson County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kylan Finch, who posted 17 points. The game was Finch's third in a row with at least ten points. Trajan Eddings was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Milan's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Gibson County, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.

Milan will head out to square off against Westview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Milan has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Gibson County has already played their next match (against Ripley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
