Soccer Game Preview: Lynbrook vs. Milpitas

The Lynbrook Vikings will face off against the Milpitas Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lynbrook fell victim to Fremont and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Firebirds. Lynbrook have struggled against Fremont recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Milpitas entered their tilt with Cupertino on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Give Milpitas' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Ivan Santillan Yepez was the driving force of Milpitas' attack as he scored both of Milpitas' goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.

Lynbrook's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-3. As for Milpitas, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Lynbrook skirted past Milpitas 1-0 in their previous matchup on January 9th. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
