Basketball Recap: North Mesquite's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

North Mesquite won the last time they faced Seagoville, and Syniyah Grigsby did her part to make sure it happened again. The North Mesquite Stallions enjoyed a cozy 52-33 victory over the Seagoville Dragons on Tuesday thanks in part to Grigsby, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and ten boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of North Mesquite's points.

Haven Crabb was another key player, putting up nine points. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

North Mesquite moved to 7-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Seagoville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

North Mesquite didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-18 victory against Wilson on the 13th. As for Seagoville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-12 win against Samuell on the 13th.
